Based on expert feedback from local and international advisory groups, the team is working on completing the first design stage of the main online resource to help students make better and more appropriate use of their personal digital devices for learning while on placement. It is anticipated that the resources will be trialled by students, academics and WPl educators from the participating universities from July onwards. A tentative name for this action-oriented, self-paced, student, module is GPS for WPL. It will help students:

  • plan before going on placement
  • access in-real time action-oriented thinking tools and guides and create their learning communities while on placement, and
  • reflect and debrief collectively after placement.
